Meet Our Leadership Team

Chimaraoke Samuel
Offurum
President/Founder
Chimaraoke Samuel Offurum is a Roman Catholic priest and social activist from Nigeria, with degrees in philosophy, law, theology, peace and conflicts studies, social innovation, and leadership. Based in San Diego since 2017, he previously coordinated a homeless support program and continued helping by leaving resources at bus stations and parks. Through Grassroots Access to Empowerment Foundation, he aims to expand his efforts to assist communities in Ohaji, Imo State, Nigeria, affected by conflict and poverty.

Julius Chigozie
Offurum
Chairman
Julius Chigozie Offurum is a principal lecturer at Imo State Polytechnic, Nigeria, with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. He initiated a crash program to help students avoid missing their National Youth Service mobilization. A volunteer with the Nigerian Legion Corps, he supports traffic decongestion and has received several humanitarian awards. Chigozie is dedicated to Grassroots Access to Empowerment Foundation's mission and looks forward to helping communities in need.

Theresa Chinaedozi
Don-Oguzie
Secretary
Theresa Chinaedozi Don-Oguzie is a Deputy Registrar at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, with degrees in English, Literary Studies, journalism, and sustainable development. Based in Owerri, she coordinates monthly outreach programs supporting widows and the physically challenged in her community. Passionate about empowering others, Theresa joins Grassroots Access to Empowerment Foundation to extend these services and assist where help is needed.

Eucharia Chirema
Njoku
Treasurer
Eucharia Chirema Njoku, known as Rems, is an Economics graduate from Imo State University and a principal administrative officer the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in Owerri. A wife, mother, and skilled in financial reporting, she believes in active listening to guide others in making life decisions. Grassroots Access to Empowerment Foundation, Rems aims to use her skills to help individuals make self-directed choices and serve others.
