I will never forget my Catechism lessons, where I learned that God gives each of us a guardian angel at birth. These angels guide and protect us, encouraging us to pursue what is good while steering us away from evil. Jesus Himself confirmed this truth in today’s Gospel (Matthew 18:1-5, 10), reminding us that our guardian angels are always watchful over us. As we reflect on their role today, let us remember that God has given us the gift of conscience, a voice that calls us to live with integrity and continually grow in moral goodness. We must try to be guided by our conscience’s voice because it helps make the works of our Guardian Angel smoother and position us for success.
