The Memorial of Saints Cornelius, Pope, and Cyprian, Bishop, Martyrs.

Today, we celebrate the memorial of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian. A single mission bound these holy men: to proclaim the Gospel with their words and even more with their lives. Earthly bloodlines did not link them; they were true brothers in Christ, children of God, and heirs to His eternal kingdom. Cornelius, called to shepherd as pope, and Cyprian, chosen to guide as bishop; they sealed their witness by the shedding of their blood.

Today at Mass, we lift our hearts and ask for their prayers, so that we too may remain firm in our Christian ideals and faithful to our call. Our prayer is that their courage inspires us to stand firm when trials test us. And above all, may we not lose our way in a world that so often mistakes the heart of Christianity, which is love, for mere ideology or radical conservatism. Instead, let us walk with the clarity of faith, the strength of hope, and the witness of love. Amen.
