Thursday in Week Twenty-Nine of the Ordinary Time. 10/23/25. Chima Offurum.

Today, I reflect on the first reading, the Letter to the Romans (6:19-23), where I draw one crucial message. In the reading, St. Paul mentions one of the essential points about true freedom, saying that we do not find it by doing whatever we please, but in aligning our lives with God’s will, which brings inner peace and purpose. Thinking about it, this message invites us to understand what living with integrity, compassion, and responsibility toward others means.

So I summize that our thoughts and actions, rooted in our relationship with God, would become instruments of goodness and transformation in our society. We should, therefore, choose life by embracing the gift of grace that takes us away from destructive habits toward a life of grace and positive relevance. We pray that God may actualize this great purpose for His glory and our happiness. Amen!
