Thursday of the Second Week of Advent. 12/11/25. Chima Offurum

Today’s first reading comes from one of the consolation chapters of the Prophet Isaiah (41:14–20). It confirms that our relationship with God is rooted in a covenant of love, one in which God continually steps forward to redeem and restore us. It is not a contract bound by terms and conditions; rather, it is a covenant in which God remains faithful, even when we fall short of our commitments.

The above explanation mirrors our salvation history. God is present in it from the very beginning and will continue to be, whether we choose to honor Him or not. As we move through the ceremonies of this holy Advent season, may we do so with a renewed determination to offer our very best to God and humanity. May God remain gracious and merciful toward us, and in His great kindness, may He continue to shower His favors upon us.
